We have a funder rating website where entrepreneurs in Africa submit their reviews of funders they have worked with and in exchange they get access to the reviews of other entrepreneurs.
The target audience is entrepreneurs in Africa who are generally African, European or American, 30 to 50 years old.

I have this idea of a silhouette of Africa and the sun rising over Africa. We could imply that this is about reviews by making the sun be a 5 pointed star (a star is a sun after all) and the sun would be illuminating the continent because now entrepreneurs can see better with this rating database. Also interested in a techno-optimist vibe.
But surprise me. I'm open to any other options too.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
