Description of the organization and its target audience
Company product is a consumer cyber-security and VPN device that helps you control your home network. Logo should evoke themes of control, privacy, and security. Current thinking is a logo with one or two colors, but must still be recognizable if printed monochrome or if embossed onto a device casing.
The company name is based on Q-Branch of James Bond fame, so we are looking for a new logo that evokes a secret agent, spy vs. spy, “Bond-like” feeling without diving completely into something so derivative that we get a call from the Ian Fleming estate. This device is on the protective side of security, so no guns but shields and symbols of protection should work fine. While Q would never have put an identifier onto the equipment he handed over to 007, you know that somewhere in the files there is a small sheet of paper with an elegant logo that otherwise would be engraved in some small way inside every exploding briefcase or customized Aston Martin DB5. We want you to create that logo.

UPDATE: In case no acceptable symbol has been received, the winner will be determined on the basis of font alone. Please create at least one original font style using the company name "Q-Branch" and attach it with your symbol design.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
