Description of the organization and its target audience
I work as a robotics professor at a university and I am the director of the robotic materials group. We study how to rapidly design and fabricate robots. We focus on 3D printing or additive manufacturing at large (digital fabrication). Another important theme is the combination of electronics and fluidics (fluidic circuits); or the field of electro-fluidics which I am creating inside robotics. The “materials” part in my research group’s name drives home the fact that we build/print robots from scratch.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
