The concept is to encourage people to continue to work out hard, even as we age, to maintain and build strength and fitness. Continual improvement - whether already a high level athlete or just starting a fitness journey.
Something masculine, without necessarily being military/tactical. Possibly something distressed to depict aging and strength

I'd like a logo that will look good printed on merchandise, as well as one that will look good as an animated youtube intro (animation work to be done by others)

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
