The target audience are typically conservative, middle aged engineers. The logo should inspire them to sign up immediately, showing that this is the future and they need to get on board or be obsolete. It should be modern, sophisticated and convey a sense of permanence. Natural Gas is also considered 'green', so this could be used, but is not the main emphasis.
