Description of the organization and its target audience
PLEASE READ!
We work primarily with youth, but we partner with lots of members of the community to address issues our community faces in a holistic manner. Some examples of services we provide are Young Adult Homeless Services, Parenting Classes, Drug-Free Coalition, Youth Action Coalition, Mediation Services in schools, Restorative Justice, and even provide sporting scholarships. We work with low income families, Spanish speakers and Mixteco speakers. Our organization is a LOCAL (not global) nonprofit to Santa Maria Valley. Our town is known for our strawberries and tri-tip.
Our Mission: "To partner with all members of the community to achieve resilience against substance abuse, reduce violence, and promote a healthy and safe community for our youth and families."

Our main focus is relationships, relationships with our clients, our donors, and our community partners. We are able to make the changes we do because of the trust and reliability with our community. I know our name is Fighting Back Santa Maria Valley, but really we are fighting FOR our community to be safer, more resilient, and more empowered. The demographic we service is around 75% Latino.
