Very good work. She did her research up front and looked at our site so that her illustrations had the right color palette. We also appreciate that she did more than just parrot back what we asked her to do and added what she thought best conveyed our message to her designs.

How s.marshall started their web page design journey
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a service that helps small businesses turn existing customers into raving fans and repeat buyers
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I am looking for something bright and energetic -- more grass green and orange. The logo is grey, black and orange, but I'd like the design to play off colors other than that.
I named the company "Torchlite" -- because it symbolizes "a small light in the dark that when lit can become big!
Our mission: To help small businesses grow to their full potential by turing their customers into raving fans and repeat customers
Avoid dark colors and reversed type.
Home: Clearly describes value proposition, drives leads
About Us: Designed to attract investors/highlight background of management
Blog: SEO contentPricing: Clear pricing table (Checklist) and Buy Button
What to avoid
Starbursts, exclamation points, too many colors. Too much use of white text
I am hoping to build a long term relationship with a designer and a developer to build out and maintain this site. We have a logo and some basic ideas from a visual standpoint, but we are not near finishing the design. I would like to play of the "light" and the "torch concept" as well as how easy it is to work with us using our mobile application
