COMPETITOR SITES: Please ignore the terrible designs! I have included these so that you can see the type of content that the site will include. http://www.jwnelleke.nl/philippadavies/concerts.htm http://www.towardshumanity.org/wissam/index.html http://www.claireiselin.com/ http://www.annanoakes.co.uk/recordings.html BETTER DESIGNED SITES: Please do not feel you have to copy these sites, I have included these to indicate that the designs need to be of good quality. http://www.stevegilesonline.co.uk/ http://www.authenticstyle.co.uk/ I am happy for you to use any colour scheme you wish but the site needs to look classy.
The site is for a classical flute artist (Kathy Batchelor). No pragramming, html or CSS will be required. Just a basic design for the site is needed. The site's main focus should be to showcase the client and promote the client's professional career as an artist. It is important that the client should stand out amongst the competition. Hopefully this can be achieved partly by creating a visually appealing site and providing easy access to media, social networking and contact details. Social bookmarks and contact details should be included on each page of the website. The site should have a modern but classy feel to indicate that this is a new, exciting classical artist. HOME PAGE: The Home Page should include these navigational links: • Home • Biography • Ensembles • Performance • Recordings • Gallery • Reviews Areas on the Home Page should include: A brief description of who Kathy Batchelor is. Featured work (This will probably include some form of media (photos, videos or music) as well as a short description) Latest review Contact me Social bookmarks (Including Kathy's latest tweet) The purpose of the website should be clear, perhaps by including a tagline, although this is not essential. The site must be accessible and usable with adequate text-to-background contrast and a font size and spacing that is easy to read. Major headings should be clear and concise. Styles and colours should be consistent and bold text should only be used sparingly.
