Description of the product
About the Primers : Primer or Undercoat is a thin, preparatory coating that is applied on a cement plastered wall prior to application of paint. A Primer ensures maximum adhesion of the paint to the wall; durability of the paint and relatively lesser consumption of Paint. Paint application is the final process and is preceded by the following stages; 1. Plastering of the Wall using Cement. 2. Application of Primer for Wallputty coating. 3. Application of Wallputty. 4. Application of Primer on Wallputty for Paint Coating. 5. Application of Paint. Primer is a thick, viscous liquid that is applied on the wall prior to and after the application of Wallputty. Wallputty is applied on a plastered wall to smoothen out any creases, coarseness and undulations on the surface. Once the Wallputty has dried, the wall is made soft to touch and is smooth with sandpapering. Primer is applied on top of the Wallputty to serve as an undercoat for the final application of paint. Primer acts as both, a preparatory coat that prepares against damages and ensures that the adhesion of paint on the wall is firm. Why Choose our Primers: There is a strong requirement of high quality primers at an economical price in the Indian market. The quality of the primer is determined on the raw material input in the manufacturing process. Krishna Mines Group has developed a strong brand reputation in the retail and construction markets due to high quality products manufactured using our own materials and expertise - at a more affordable price range.
Description of the product target audience
Primers are primarily sold across the country in Hardware / Paint Retail shops with various brands representing various price categories and quality. Hardware shops in question are akin to supermarkets for construction needs with all accessories and equipment's such as brushes, paints, wallputty's, pipes etc available under a single roof. The primary consumers of the product can be segregated into two categories namely - Retail and Projects. Retail consumers include painters and individual consumers who purchase the required materials for their construction needs. Project consumers include contractors, large scale property developers who buy directly from the organization rather than through hardware retail shops. Primer Brands: The hardware retail market is segregated into various categories based on Price, Quality and Brand name. While there are 100’s of brands available in the market at any given time, our primary competitors are large scale industries with a global reach. The following brands are the ones Krishna Mines Group competes with in the Hardware Retail market with regard to quality but is priced lower than the following brands 1. Nippon Paints 2. Asian Paints 3. Berger Paints 4. Dulux Paints 5. Nerolac Paints Since 2006, Krishna Mines Group has consistently produced Retail products that compete and outperform large scale brands on quality but are priced lower. As such, we have developed a brand name and loyal customer bases purely on quality products at a more economical price.
A packaging design that incorporates the end use of the product (i.e Paints / Colour) needs to be considered. The artistic choice pertaining to the visuals, symbols etc must be contemporary with a very sophisticated taste. While we are an organization in the classical sense, our approach to products and design etc are very open and submissions incorporating very stylistic and unorthodox designs etc are welcome. We have provided our competitors brand names etc purely for research purposes and do not expect submissions to follow the same design templates. Design elements such as use of colour, artwork, symbols, pictures etc are at the designers purview. We are very open to any kinds of design elements etc. Your thoughts, suggestions and opinions are welcome and we shall seriously consider them on their own merit and not on the industry standard / templates. *Please note that we require ONE STANDARD designs for 1, 4, 10, 20 and 50 litre cans. The only variables are the dimension of the cans while the design elements are the same for all product sizes. *Instructions, Chemical compositions and other contents are being collected and will be update soon.
What to avoid
Generic and uninspired artworks are to be avoided. Plagiarism and encroaching on IP's of other company designs are to be avoided as well.
