Hagerman Canyon Farms
Description of the product
We grown local watermelon. We are a high quality, local brand producing the sweetest and freshest melons around. We focus on the area where we grow them (Hagerman, ID) which we are known for.
Description of the product target audience
We are designing the watermelon bins that ship directly into grocery stores. We want to focus on quality, fresh, sweet, local and location (ie from Hagerman). Our brand name is Hager melon, a play off of Hagerman. Things that should be the main part of the design: our brand (Hager Melon), Hagerman watermelon, state of idaho with Hagerman marked on the map, local, and fresh. The name Hager melon should be emphasized, creative and more than just a general font. We have even wondered about creating a hager melon character (like a watermelon with arms and legs, a watermelon man) We want to clearly communicate to consumers in the store that this is a Hagerman watermelon. Also include things in the design that would suggest to the consumer that watermelon would sound good right now. ie if you walked into a store on a hot day and saw the red slices of watermelon pictured in the walmart bin hopefully that would put the idea in your head that watermelon sounds good right now. Other things that could be included in the design could include some of the following; watermelons, watermelon vines, farm/farming. i have included pictures of our logo as well as the sticker that we put directly on the fruit that will be inside the bin. Sample bins are included that give some ideas of the general artwork on some of those categories such as farm in the back ground, watermelon and watermelon vines, state outline, but I am looking for something more original from those pictured. Also, so far no one has explored a black bin. (most are white back ground) I think that may have some potential to look very unique.
What to avoid
Do not use our logo in the design except for small print. it will be a 4 color direct print bin so any imagery that cant be done with that kind of printer.
die lines are provided in pdf form and are highlighted in pink for the design area.
