Plymouth Artisan Wafers
Not yet developed
Delicious thin wafers baked with love
Description of the product
We are at the very beginning of the concept to test the local gift market here in Plymouth (UK). We have the product which is a traditional baked wafer using a custom mould. This baking technique goes back to 18th century in Europe. We would like to launch it for the 2020 which will see celebration of the 400th anniversary of Mayflower voyage to USA from Plymouth. Product will start with traditional sweet savoury taste.
Description of the product target audience
This is really product for anyone. We don't position it as luxury but more as a treat that has a good taste and is fun. It can be eaten with your daily cuppa or when strolling around Plymouth enjoying the harbour, heritage. What we know is that both you kids and older adults like it. We want to be flexible with the approach so this first mould is celebratory so we can start with the appeal to tradition: baked in Plymouth, heritage, history, Pilgrims, harbour, mayflower, voyage, ocean city, discovery, English
We are looking for a box size 30cm x 20cm x 5cm. This is likely to start in a basic carboard style colour. We are thinking of having some cleverly cut out small window to show what is inside. The cut out window wouldn't be covered with foil and would have to incorporated around the design (in similar way as the sample image of packaging type we found on Internet for an idea what we mean by this). Back of the box to be kept simple as basic info will go there but might be like a 2nd extension of story told at the front of the box.
