A range of quality wine that is very good value. More of an anytime / everyday / easy drinking wine. Enjoy at a BBQ or while camping. There are a number of varieties under the label including Chardonnay Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz.
The range name comes from a location close to the winery - The Buckland Gap cuts across the top of Mt Stanley National Park, creating a dramatic backdrop to our winery estate. Paths through the native hardwood forest afford vantage points that overlook rows of vines and stunning views across the Ovens Valley to the imposing Mt Buffalo and Mt Hotham.
Description of the product target audience
Men and women 18-65+ (adults who drink wine). Lower income level. Entry level wine drinkers,
Front label for Chardonnay Pinot Noir on a sparkling bottle. Keep in mind that the design will need to be able to be resized to be applied to a burgundy bottle for Shiraz and claret bottle for Pinot Grigio. The label needs to include Gapsted Wines as the prominent brand at top, Buckland Gap as the range name, variety, vintage, GI and 750ml.
The chardonnay pinot noir needs to have either a gold or silver hood, see below (please use on designs) and these images also show bottle colour. Screwcap options for the other varieties will be black/gold or silver/black (see examples in images below).
The label needs to be engaging, have shelf presence and stand out with colour. It is not a premium product. Please don't use the Gapsted Wines logo on the label, just the words Gapsted Wines in font Trajan Pro.
Variety: Chardonnay Pinot Noir
NOTE: the Vintage and GI will need to be changeable for future packagings, so should be a relatively simple font rather than a design element.
Could use a different colour for each variety, but the colour or even illustration can be a subtle difference, it does not have to be a whole label colour change (though it can be).
What to avoid
Photos, cliched images of grapes, vines, vineyard etc. Expensive embellishments like foils and embossing.
Chardonnay Pinot Noir (sparkling bottle): 107mm wide x 90 high. For reference, the Pinot Grigio (claret bottle) will be resized to 80mm wide x 118mm high and the Shiraz (burgundy bottle) will be resized to 120mm wide x 80 high
