Create the next product label for Love Grub Pet Food

Love Grub Pet Food

We are a start up making a very high quality yet affordable pet food. We are not trying to compete with the large manufactures, rather we go to market through small retailers and distributors. Our first products will be Dog Food.

We want a product label for bags of dog food. the product name is Love Grub or Love Grub XXX (Dog, Puppy, Cat etc..) Food.

The slogans associated with this are 'small batch dog food' and 'The best food for your best friend'

The packaging concept we are leaning toward is a plain white bag with a printed label sewn only across the top allowing it to be lifted to read printing on the reverse. The idea is to invoke images of a feed store but not too country. Think value and honest and wholesome and real. Think Kitch and clever and maybe a little edgy.

We imagine a colored stock printed with a single color. This is for both simplicity and cost but we are certainly open to all ideas.

The viewable area of the label will be 11" long (width of the bag by x 6" high.

We will need space for required ingredient and nutritional info. Minimum 4"x4" Back of label OK. A sample of that text is included....

We have also considered including dog breed profiles on each label. These will change with each printing. An example Is attached. Feel free to expand on or eliminated this as you see fit.

We do not have a logo developed for the Love Grub name and will interested to see your ideas along with the over all label layout. I hope you have fun!
