Food & Drink
Valhalla is a brazilian nanobrewery located at Brazil's south that brews hand-crafted beers from different styles. Our customers and supporters are beer geeks and craft-beers lovers with age 21 to upper, both men and women. Why "Valhalla" ? According to the Norse mithology, Valhalla is the hall of the Gods and the brave viking warriors who died in battles. Some tales describe Valhalla as being the place where these great warriors wait until the Twilight of Gods (Ragnarok), celebrating with battles and good drinks, such as beer and mead. So the Valhalla's brewery great motivation is to craft beers that brings to people this celebration spirit from the Old Norse ones.
What's your vision?
What we need: 1) bottle label design. 2) bottle neck label design. 3) bottle top design. How it SHOULD NOT be: * Circular labels. * Traditional old-fashioned labels (take inspiration from the "purple cow" branding philosophy and the craft beers labels attached!) * The label must not contain photos or real pictures. * It must not be a monochromatic design. How it SHOULD be: * Minimalist design. * It must contain hops (see hop.jpg attached for sample). IMPORTANT: the hops must be a small detail on the design, not easily found. * It must contain viking letters style (see valhalla_sample.png attached). IMPORTANT: the sample was taken from other author for briefing purposes only, we cannot use it. * It must contain a large viking symbol (see valhalla_sample.png attached), such as the viking ships or a castle shape (remember Valhalla is a castle). IMPORTANT: the sample was taken from other author for briefing purposes only, we cannot use it. * It must be presented at least 4 labels color schemes. Suggested colors are gold, green, black and red. Feel free to pick ANY other color you think it'll be nice. * It must contain space for beer information, such as: * Valhalla's history (see the blue "História" section on back_sample_with_history_and_ingredients.jpg sample) * Valhalla's ingredients (see the blue "Ingredientes" section on back_sample_with_history_and_ingredients.jpg sample) * The beer's IBU (International Bittering Units) grade (see the "45" square on back_sample_with_history_and_ingredients.jpg sample) * The beer's ABV (Alcohol by Volume) percent (see the "4,5%" on back_sample_with_history_and_ingredients.jpg sample). * The beer's ideal serving temperature (see 7°C on back_sample_with_history_and_ingredients.jpg sample). * The bottle's liquid volume (330ml for small bottles). * Taste's little description (see taste_aroma_minimalist_sample.png sample). * Aroma's little description (see taste_aroma_minimalist_sample.png sample). * The label must have 2 sides: front side and back side. On the front we want the label design with the viking symbol, the viking letters and a space for the beer style (see the black circle on taste_aroma_minimalist_sample.png sample). On the back side you can put all the beer information listed above. * The bottle neck label must not have letters, only symbols and drawings. * The bottle neck label must be rectangular. * The bottle top design must not have letters, only symbols and drawings. * Life-saver extremely important outstanding reading for this contest :) => http://99designs.com/customer-blog/5-tips-for-brewing-the-perfect-craft-beer-label/ * Follow the guidelines of this brief, but create and innovate all the time. We want out-of-the-box labels. * Since there is a lot of information to be shown, in order to optimize the space usage you can make some of the informations vertically written (the ingredients, for sample). * We will provide almost instantaneous feedback for each entry you submit. More you submit, earlier your design will became the winning one. * Our bottles are the small ones (330ml or about 11~12 oz). * The design should be easily adapted for bigger bottle sizes. * The design should be easily adapted for other colors schemes. * Use the 4x3 inches standard. Also known as half wrap label. * We have attached our current logo so you can see our reality. The drawing is about Thor's hammer (Mjollnir) with Odin's two ravens.
