How Pig & Pie started their postcard, flyer or print journey
Who are you known as?
Pig & Pie
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We're a neighborhood eatery in the mission district of San Francisco. We serve down home style food centered on pork and dessert pies in a casual environment. Our customers mostly live within a few blocks of us and span the range of young urban hipsters to grizzled old timers.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want to create a flyer to advertise a 4th of July "All American Indoor BBQ" event and introduce a promo for people who live in the neighborhood. Size 4.25x11, hole drilled in the upper left hand corner for a rubber band so it can be hung on door knobs. The bottom 2" of this flyer will be perfed to tear off as a coupon. Although most of our marketing material is B/W we're looking to branch out to 4/1.
On the front we're looking for classic Americana style, casual, even a bit kitchy. Think a little over the top bad but good, obviously making fun of this style of flyer. The more clipart of fireworks and American flags the better (joking, kinda.) Generally our style is a bit rustic, we want to avoid looking too clean or corporate.
