The work with maskio, the design she made and her quick responses and adaptions to our feedbacks and wishes were really inspiring.
How johnshahidi started their app design journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Games & Recreational
This project is for an app called "Fishing App". It's a very simple mobile game where you're a fisherman fishing in the ocean.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
Although the screens of the design I have put have a classic look, I want to go with a very nice and modern look. Something like this app called Mr. Chilly (not a game but a beautiful design) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mr.…59132?mt=8. I really like the idea of a LONG SHADOW design. People use it for icons but never for an entire game. That would be very fun and different.
Screen 1 is the game. The fisherman is inspired by Sam from Awkward Puppets. I want to keep it this way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nalIKI8EAo. He is in a boat and there is the ocean and 3 different fish. I would like the fisherman to move to the right side facing the left (inside of being on the left side in the screen). The yellow and blue fish are what you are collecting. The red fish is a fish you need to avoid or else your hook and all the fish you collected will explode. That fish is inspired by this: https://dribbble.com/shots/1625486-Piranha
Screen 2: This is the summary screen which can also serve as the main menu.
1) Default summary screen should have “Highest Score Today” and “Fish Collected” as default.
2)When touching summary screen show “Total Games Played” and “All Time High”. But only show this text when touching the summary screen or else there will be too much info. When letting go, it goes back to the summary screen.
3)The “Highest Score Today” number resets 24 hours after the high score is achieved.
4) “Fish again” button on summary screen needs to stand out more.
5) Change “Tweet and fish” button to just “tweet”.
