Check out AHK Japan, Communications's Magazine cover contest…
Community & Non-Profit
We publish news about Japanese economics (mostly) as well as politics, society and culture. Our media are a print magazine (the only print matter worldwide that contains exclusively news in German about Japan’s economy) as well as a website with the latest news. Our audience is mostly (male) German CEO's and other persons in management positions but also everyone interested in Japan.
What's your vision?
IMPORTANT: Please read the brief CAREFULLY. Feel free to message us, if you have any questions or if anything is unclear. We are currently looking for a new cover for the next issue of our German business magazine JAPANMARKT. Our readership constitutes of mainly male German-speaking expats in Japan (executives). Online archive: https://japanmarkt.de/magazin/archiv/ Media data: https://japanmarkt.de/app/uploads/2019/03/AHK-Japan-2019_EN.pdf 1. Topic The main theme of the issue is “consumption trends in Japan” and is emphasizing especially on - the shift in consumption trends - what is special about Japanese customers - any changes in the big segments (for example fashion, luxury goods like watches, cars, home appliances, groceries etc.) - how this was influenced by the EU-Japan EPA and trends across whole of Japan. - Distributors of products: departments, trade companies, eCommerce and new trends in buying. 2. Title Please insert the temporary title into the image: “Konsumtrends: Von Konsumklima und Konsumverhalten”. You will be notified of the final title after choosing the finalists and must be implemented then. "Konsumtrends" is the main title and therefore bigger than the other part. Font typ: “Konsumtrends” = Myriad Pro-Bold 48p., “Von Konsumklima und Konsumverhalten” = Myriad Pro-Bold p.24. Under the main title a line must be placed in our logo color (#F45F59). This can be changed depending on the cover design. 3. Design - It has to be VERY clear that the magazine is about “consumption trends in JAPAN”. However, since this is not only about Japanese products but also European especially German products on the Japanese market, we would appreciate it, if that is somehow implemented in the cover. - You can base your design on a photo, make a collage, illustrate or design icons/graphics. Anything is fine! If you use a stock picture, please arrange it like the combination of photo and icons or illustration and icons, like what we did in our last covers (see the attachment: https://japanmarkt.de/magazin/archiv/). - If you use a stock photo, stick to istockphoto.com or similar lower-prize options if possible. (If you already own the pictures you want to use, it does not matter, which website you got them from, of course.) - Do NOT just copy-paste the stock photo into the template. - Please DEFINITELY look at our past covers so that you can find our design style. - Please choose a DIFFERENT color design, especially in comparison to the last covers (No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 2019, No.1, No.2, No.3 and No. 4 2018). https://japanmarkt.de/magazin/archiv/ - Here you can find more about the magazine: https://japanmarkt.de/app/uploads/2019/03/AHK-Japan-2019_EN.pdf 4. Final data We already have an InDesign-template for the cover and the final cover design data must be inserted into the template (see attachments). IMPORTANT: - The green frame is NOT part of the template, we just added it to show which part needs to be changed. Please erase the green frame when you create a design. - The picture resolution should be 350 dpi and use the CMYK color model. Our team works with Adobe InDesign, so it is important to provide us with 2 files that can be opened and edited in photoshop and InDesign. Especially the photoshop data should be editable in Adobe Photoshop, with separate layers.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Magazine cover starts at $299.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.
