How helen.pappas started their logo & hosted website journey
Who are you known as?
Smoky Mountain Family Farm
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Smoky Mountain Family Farm is a tomato growing farm located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennesse. We are looking to rebrand and grow the family business. It's target audience is made up of wholesale produce distributors and chain supermarkets so we are looking for a professional look, that easily shows onlookers what we grow and where we are (tomatoes and the smoky mountains)
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Greens: Growth, harmony and success.
Reds: Energy, action, passion and love.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We are looking for a logo that is a literal combination of a few pieces of our business. We want to combine our family roots with imagery that nods toward the future of the business.
We'd like to see mountains in the background, with fog or clouds hovering (representing the Smoky Mountain range where the farm is). We would also like to incorporate a visual of the two main types of tomatoes we grow: Round and Roma. We'd like to see a visual representation, maybe a tomato vine or field in the forefront, with larger round red tomatoes (Round) and smaller oblong ones (Roma). As a nod to the family roots, we want to incorporate a small dragonfly (not too noticeably) in either black or white somewhere in the image or near/on the tomatoes.
We need the logo to be able to enlarge for promo materials, but also shrink to work for business cards. So, we are open to using the SMFF abbreviation, or spelling out Smoky Mountain Family Farms, or both.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
We are looking for a simple and straightforward site that highlights the farm and our tomatoes. We are looking to combine photos of the farm itself (which we need to have taken) with text that highlights the background and future of where the company has been and is going. We really like the look of this site selected above, and like the natural look of it with the landscape photo on the homepage.
Jimdo templates to explore
We will need to develop the precise text and photos for each page, but here is a general starting point.
Homepage: Large photo of a landscape of a farm (we will have to take one of our farm), new logo, basic text - paragraph describing company and what we do, contact info across the bottom
Products Page: Text and photos highlighting what kinds of tomatoes we grow.
Company History: need text and photos for this
About Us: also need text and photos for this
