Barbara.means needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 94 designs submitted by 6 freelance designers.
SRI International
Educational research. A nonprofit research & consulting institute.
The logo is for a survey to be called "iSTEM" that will be administered to high school and college students. We'd like a pictorial element along with the name "iSTEM."
STEM refers to science-technology-engineering-mathematics, and the survey asks about students' interests and school experiences in these areas.
The graphic should look good in B&W as well as in color. (Some surveys will be online so we can use color; printed surveys will be B&W.)
The sponsor is the National Science Foundation so it should not have too much "attitude" but it should appeal to youth.
I thought about the idea of incorporating silhouettes of young people but I'm open to other ideas.
