The idea to start Spartadog was inspired by Spartacus, our German Shepherd dog. He's 4 years old, beautiful, tall, playful, very active, protective, extraordinarily loving and needs a hug when he gets scared or gets hurt. He also suffered a spinal stroke when he was 3, temporarily lost the ability to use his back legs, wag his tail and control his bodily functions. He has regained his ability to run and jump. He still cannot wag his tail and struggles with coordinating all his bladder functions. In spite of his struggles he has never lost his joyfulness and loving nature.
Spartacus needs tough gear and toys - anything less does not last long. He takes supplements for his hips and joints. He eats a super premium dog food - although right now he's on a home cooked meal plan until we can get his bladder problems stabilized.
A picture of Spartacus is included. You can see some videos of him on youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC…UWDsLOltwA
The goal of Spartadog is to provide owners like us with the kind of gear, toys, food, treats, supplements that a dog like Spartacus needs and deserves.
Our target market are owners of mid-sized to larger dogs. These dogs require more from their owners than tiny dogs do. These dogs are more active, stronger, bigger, messier, bigger eaters, etc. Their owners feel they are part of the family and treat them like one of the kids.
Our Facebook page demographics are 70% female, in higher than average income homes, 80% are home owners, 30-50 in age, likely to have kids in the house, drive SUVs , minivans, cross over vehicles, larger cars and trucks.
We have a current logo, but it not good enough in my opinion. I don't think that it catches your eye or convey the emotional aspects that I would like the brand to communicate. Also, please don't take our current product offering as being on target for the brand - it's being reworked too.
I'm open to all suggestions. I will be asking women in the target market to decide which logo they like best.
