FWEDA got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Refresh logo for Nonprofit Association of Equipment Dealers

Our Roots Run Deep
Community & Non-Profit
Farwest Equipment Dealers Association is a nonprofit association representing equipment dealers in AZ, CA, CO, NV, HI, UT and WY. Our members are agricultural, industrial, material handling, hardware, lumber, outdoor power and rental equipment dealers.
Other color requirements
Our colors are traditionally blue and gold but we're open to new ideas. We'd like to see logos with a "metallic" or stamped metal look. We want to see textures that are old or weathered, not just solid colors.
We want to refresh our old logo with something simple and vintage looking. Our original logo is blue and yellow with stripes, we also started a redesign (the logo with our name and gear) but aren't completely happy with it. We'd like to get a fresh perspective on it. Feel free to use either as inspiration for the new logo or design something completely new.
$499 Silver package

It all began with a design brief.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
FWEDA collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
