How christian.mackin started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
What’s your company slogan?
"Just for the feel of it" but this is not at all a priority. We may just add this as standard text to any logo.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Life hurts, so we designed a life-size massage robot named Alex to address the $12 billion massage market. You can talk to Alex in a normal voice at our salons and share massages with friends, celebrities and doctors over the internet.
Alex will operate from 1,000 company salons, at many thousands of commercial facilities such airports and at private residences to give subscribers and owners global access to full body massage to improve their overall wellness. Users can talk to Alex to create a custom massage routine, or access a doctor prepared routine specific for their pain management. Each custom routine can easily be calibrated from one body size to another to allow people to share massages with friends and celebrities through our social networking application.
The primary persona that Alex will serve is Joe the Plumber as personified in the 2008 presidential campaign. Everyday Joe works hard, stretches every dollar and usually only takes 5 days of vacation to a place he can drive to with his family. He values wellness for his family, but does have time after a long hot day on the job to go to the gym. Joe is a church going man and has three daughters who he cherishes. He is a private conservative person and generally doesn’t like to chit-chat at the barber's chair.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Spa & Esthetics
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I don't think I would like pastels or highly feminine colors, but otherwise red, blue, green, yellow and shades of grey are ok to consider.

Please see our website at http://www.massagerobotics.com. There are videos and other documentation there to see many different graphics. I just need a fresh new look. I am specifically looking for a logo that can be with and without the words Massage Robotics. An icon that will carry the brand after the name takes off. Something like the Starbuck logo that can be recognized without the words. I'm hoping that the icon can have meaning as opposed to the Nike swish that has no meaning without the word.
Definitely, go to our website and see our videos and company overview to see the general direction that we are going. I would really like to show that our robots have a human touch. Some sense of humanity. Ideally, someone could look at the icon of the logo and see that it relates to what we do rather than the icon just being a twist on letters or an abstract Nike swish.
