US Tourism
We are a new tourism portal site for the United States providing information and access to hotels, vacation rentals, resorts as well as information about things to do in different areas. We are not like Expedia. We simply provide information to the tourist/vacationer.
Here are some examples of the individual state tourism logos for all 50 states in the US...

And here are 55 tourism logos from countries around the world...

There are some amazing logos on both of those sites.
Some of the logos I like best in the above examples are...
Sweden - I love the simplicity of the text with an abstract of their flag
Britain - A great use of their flag and the gradient colors look nice
Poland - I really like how it has a tree, water and mountains in it.
Venezuela - a splash of color and a mountain
If I could figure out how to get mountains (for skiers and hikers), water (for our oceans and beaches), trees (for our parks and forests) as well as some of our famous national landmarks (i.e.: Statue of Liberty, NY City skyline, US Capital Building, Whitehouse, Mount Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Hollywood sign, Golden Gate Bridge and cable car, Seattle Space Needle, Hatteras Lighthouse and maybe even a rollercoaster to represent a themepark), without junking up the logo, that would be nice. But I don't think it is possible. I do like the simplicity of many in the above URL's as well as the 4 I pointed out.
