Share It Up! is a consumer app, not a corporation. So the logo should not be something designed for a white business card or stationery.
From a stylistic perspective, inspiration should be taken from social games or 3D app icons.
The design needs to be engaging, fun, have life and movement, and pop off the screen with dimension and perspective. The winning design must be fun (not corporate), three-dimensional (not flat), active and dynamic (not static), literal (not abstract), heavy and substantial (not light with thin lines), organic (not geometric).
Imagery should reflect coupons, deals, fun, games, sharing, and the action 'up'.
One possible direction - but not the only one - would be looking at the icon graphic for http://www.panic.com/candybar and either expanding it to be a logo itself, or keeping the name separate.
Another possible direction would be making the lower tail of the 'S' in 'Share' the end of a coupon, with barcode and/or dashed line, which turns into the 'S'. Or the entire name could be on a giant coupon, so long as the coupon has some dimension, perspective, and movement.
Feel free to try different capitalization, spacing of the words Share It Up, or punctuation, e.g. ShareItUp or shareItUP or ShareItUp! for best effect and readability.
IMPORTANT: the winning logo design MUST be able to be translated into a version that works on a rectangular button that will go on third-party web sites, similar to 'Like' button, Tweet button, etc., except in this case the Share It Up button will appear with Share It Up offers from retailers/brands, which consumers will need to click in order to share the offer with their friends.
And while the button does NOT need to display the entire logo itself, the button SHOULD contain a text treatment and iconic image that clearly reflects the logo, and must be readable on the button in multiple sizes.
Have fun! :)
