Pearce On Earth
This is a logo for my personal/family blog where I write about our family travels, living abroad (we're currently in Malaysia), entrepreneurship, living with less (we only own what we can carry in our backpacks and carry-on suitcases), homeschooling, and more. My existing blog is http://www.brandonpearce.com, if you want to see some of the articles. But I'm moving it to PearceOnEarth.com as soon as the logo is finished. (I've started setting up that site, and it will be ready soon -- the logo will go in the upper-left hand corner on the same line as the main navigation/menu. The new website will have a blue background, so the logo should be able to look good on it).
The logo should contain the words "Pearce On Earth" but I am open to variations of caps and spacing, such as "PearceOnEarth" or "PearceOnEarth.com" or "Pearce on earth" etc.
You'll notice that the title is a play on words of the phrase "Peace on Earth" but with my last name, "Pearce" -- I'm not sure if we need to highlight the extra "r" somehow, or if people will pick up on anyway. But I don't want people to misread it and think it says "peace".
For the icon, I'd like something that symbolizes our family traveling the world together, living the dream, enjoying life to the fullest, etc. My old blog's name is "Fullness of Life" (see http://www.brandonpearce.com) and I still want to encompass the idea of a "full life" in the new logo. I currently work about 5 hours per week and spend the rest of the time enjoying life with my family and working on personal goals. I am also working on a book to teach others how to create an online business like I've done that allows me to live this lifestyle. I try to make the world a better place wherever I go, and I'd like this logo to encompass all of that.
I've thought that maybe an image or symbol of an "earth" might be an appropriate icon, but I think it needs something more than that, but I'm not sure what. I'd like it to really speak about who we are and what we're about. I'm looking forward to seeing some creative ideas.
Target audience: Anyone interested in extended family travel, entrepreneurship, building an online business, simplifying their lives, or homeschool.
