tomboersma got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo needed for Norwegian company in Landscape and Environmental Consultancy (2nd round)
Check out tomboersma's Logo design contest…
Aurland Naturverkstad is a Norwegian company in landscape and environmental consultancy, based in Western Norway. We’re looking for a fresh, modern and professional logo design for this company.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: please feel free, but not just green... Desired Style: fresh, modern, professional Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff)     Aurland Naturverkstad is a Norwegian company in landscape and environmental consultancy, based in the Nærøyfjord area in Western Norway, which has been a world heritage site since 2005. Clients include government agencies, local authorities, non-governmental organisations and private businesses/persons.   We’re looking for a fresh, modern and professional logo design for this company. Keywords: nature, landscape, social, analyse, planning, vision. The company name “Aurland Naturverkstad†must be the main element in the logo, “Aurland†can be bigger than “Naturverkstad†(same width). The logo must have a good balance between reality and abstraction, nature and culture. Not a realistic tree, leave or landscape (it’s not a park or a nursery garden), neither a too official look (it’s not only paperwork). The logo should be usable both for paper and web purposes. This is the second round of this contest, we didn’t found a logo which fitted well enough in the first round which can be found at http://contests.sitepoint.com/contests/4193. We increased the price money from $100 to $200. Some logos we liked so far:   - http://contests.sitepoint.com/contests/4193/entries/264797: nice combination of reality and abstraction, powerful, nice colours, but a bit too massive font, - http://contests.sitepoint.com/contests/4193/entries/262438: creative use of syllables AN, landscape and abstract elements, but too much overlap with TV-Norge (and MTV) according to our customer, - and, off the record http://oransje.com/tree.jpg: joyful, nice balance realistic/abstract, “Aurland†could rather be written above “Naturverkstad†to get a more compact logo. The companies’ website (in Norwegian) could be found at http://aurland-naturverkstad.no, but don’t care too much about the style of it, there will be a new site too.   Â
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $299.

And then… they selected a winner!
This is my 3rd logo with 99designs and LogoB was very easy to work with, responded quickly, and made the requested tweaks very quickly. Thanks for another great experience.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
