How Jdoughall1 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Grits and Tacos
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a blog that covers history, culture, arts, cuisine and travel in the Southern United States (Louisiana to Virginia, Tennessee to Florida) AND parts of Mexico (primarily Mexico City and colonial cities such as Merida, Morelia, Queretaro, San Miguel and Guanajuato). Please DO NOT use stereotypical Texas, Florida, or Mexican beach themes, as these are not areas we delve in. No cactus trees, tequila, donkeys, sombreros, serapes, etc. THIS IS NOT A FOOD BUSINESS, so please stay away from literal translations of grits and tacos. It is a blog about general culture of the two regions, including but not limited to cuisine.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Travel & Hotel
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT AND DOES NOT SELL FOOD, SO PLEASE BE MORE CREATIVE THAN INCORPORATING A TACO OR A CHILI. THIS IS A BLOG ABOUT GENERAL CULTURE. PLEASE CHECK OUT GARDENANDGUN.GOM FOR EXAMPLES. THAT BUSINESS IS NOT ABOUT GARDENS AND GUNS, BUT THE WORDS ARE USED EUPHEMISTICALLY TO DESCRIBE A REGION OF THE UNITED STATES.
My preferred logo types (in order of preference) are: 1. Word mark, 2. Emblem, and 3. Pictoral mark
I am not sold on the colors I put in so if you want, you can surprise me. Colors I would like to avoid are yellow and purple.
