Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a float center that offers floatation therapy or simply, floating. We sell time inside our float tanks (60-90 minutes usually) for people to properly relax and learn how to let go of anxiety, stress, pain, compulsive disorders, depression and many others. Our clients lie inside a float tank, (think of a large enclosed bathtub) that has 10" of skin temperature water (about 94 degrees F) and about 1000lbs of Epsom Salt, so they are buoyant enough to counteract 95% of gravity's effects on the brain, body, and nervous system much like floating in space.
(The epsom salt is also a natural muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory for the joints.)
Clients also can choose to wear earplugs and have no lights on, allowing nearly all of the senses to be quieted down, which eventually puts people into a relaxed state or meditative states. There is no light, sound, gravity, and the water is the same temperature as your skin so after 30 minutes your brain perceives your body as disappearing because it can not differentiate where the water begins and the body ends. It allows for every 1 hour spent in the float tank to equal 4 hrs worth of rest for the client leading to expedited recovery and strengthening of the immune system and the ability for the body to heal itself much faster than bed rest.

To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We have a video up on our website to show one of our sponsored athletes during a float session start to finish. (ufloat.org) The logo (provided) is an idea we had, as it shows the aspects of what floating is like to people that don't know what it is. We are looking for similar designs that can "refine" what we have provided. Creative freedom is also welcomed, in the arena of portraying a simple/universal type logo for the float industry.
Getting a better idea about what floating is and does can also be helpful by doing a google search for "floating/floatation therapy" or even doing a youtube search about floating to provide helpful insight into the private and individual experience of floating.
