Ziel dieses Prinzips ist es, Tierversuche vollständig durch geeignete Alternativmethoden zu ersetzen (Replace), die Zahl der Versuche und der darin verwendeten Tiere auf ein sinnvolles Minimum zu reduzieren (Reduce) sowie die Leiden der Tiere in den Versuchen auf das unerlässliche Maß zu beschränken (Refine). Das neu gegründete 3R-Center für In-vitro-Modelle und Tierversuchsalternativen, das gemeinsam von der Universität Tübingen und dem Naturwissenschaftlichen und Medizinischen Institut (NMI) in Reutlingen getragen und vom Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst (MWK) finanziert wird, soll allen Wissenschaftler*innen in Baden-Württemberg einen niederschwelligen Zugang zu neuartigen Alternativmethoden ermö...
