ericlemer got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Double Trouble Bat Mitzvah logo design
Check out ericlemer's Logo design contest…
we would like a logo for our two daughters' joint bat mitzvah (the religious ceremony for jewish children when they turn 13 years old). we would like something that connotes fun and playful yet classy and sophisticated. They are not "girly girls" but "normal" girls who have lived in London with their parents for 11 years, have traveled extensively, have a large group of friends, study/work hard and like to play as well.
Other color requirements
we like the blues and pink but are actually quite open if the designer comes along with something that catches our eye...
my wife and I like the Robert Indiana "LOVE" sculpture as an initial concept because we thought we could do something to accentuate the "L" and the "V" for each of their names but we are not wed to that sculpture or design (which is why we are coming to 99Designs)...but we do like it We are open to having just the "L" and the "V" as points of focus rather than having their names (Lex and Vanessa) or, depending on the design, their names (perhaps "intersecting" where the "e"s cross over each other... We would likely use the logo on a number of items including t-shirts, napkins, thank-you notes, lighting, etc. I have attached a picture of the "LOVE" but that is only meant to give ideas

And then… they selected a winner!
Was very professional and continued to react to our feedback, and take inspiration from other designs we liked, to help us arrive at our favorite design.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
