JKabbe got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design vibrant logo for indoor microgreens farm
Check out JKabbe's Logo design contest…
The company name is Marvel Microgreens. We are seeking a logo for the company that could be used as the corporate logo but would be appealing and distinctive on both brochures and product labels. A good example of microgreens can be found here (see the picture): https://www.trueleafmarket.com/products/basic-salad-mix-microgreen-seed?variant=38827791688 the name Marvel Microgreens comes from the Marvel pea (but this is only one of our products): https://www.trueleafmarket.com/products/pea-little-marvel-microgreens-seeds?variant=47667952136 We are a "farm" for microgreens. We grow them and sell them (whole and live, as seen in the photo on that site) to restaurants and to people for use in their own kitchens / meals at home. It's a food plant delivery business. The delivered product looks very much like the squares of live plants on the above links. The logo should convey as many of the following as possible: 1. microgreens are healthy, flavorful, beautiful 2. fresh (since they're live plants delivered, not dead plants that have been cut off) 3. grown pure (no chemicals, no pesticides, no soil - just filtered water, seeds, and light - so evoking “fields of plants” is not really appropriate for this product) We want the logo to be vibrant and powerful in color (definitely colorful, preferably multiple colors). While some green could be incorporated, we would like to see options with unexpected colors. For example, I have become very attracted to several bright pink logos for other, non-microgreen products. I would welcome seeing that color being incorporated as a background or in some other way that makes sense. An example of what I mean as bright pink is here: https://getskinnydipped.com/shop-2/raspberry-35-oz I do NOT however want to limit the options to bright pink. My primary goal is bright, vibrant, unexpected color being incorporated in some noticeable way into the logo. The name (Marvel Microgreens) should be incorporated somehow and needs to be easy to read (keeping in mind that this logo will be presented both in larger format on labels and brochures and in smaller format on business cards). “Marvel” could be given more prominence or a different treatment from “Microgreens”
One additional thing to consider regarding any leaves you incorporate into your designs: micro greens typically characteristically have two leaves (we often describe the plants as being "no longer microgreens" once they have three leaves. Also, leaves should be distinctive and not look like regular tree leaves (for example, more rounded and with less traditional vein lines). Thank you.
