Design a powerful non-profit logo to help the homeless

Community & Non-Profit
The name of the organization is The Prodigal Project. We serve high-quality food, cultivate community, and promote dignity to our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness. We are different from a soup kitchen in that we want our patrons (the chronically homeless) to feel as if they are dining at a high-end restaurant. We are bringing dignity to the forefront of what we do. We serve a God who only operates out of abundance and we want this idea to be ingrained deeply into how we serve those less fortunate. The story of the prodigal son returning home paints a beautiful image of the forgiveness, love, compassion, relief, rejoice, humility, and celebration we can all feel. The party the father throws shows the extravagance of His love and we aim to accomplish that same level of abundance and love.
Attached is the image of the prodigal son returning home. We need a logo that conveys the emotions felt and familiarity one might have with this image, but we know the detail is far too overwhelming. Simplicity is important but recognition is huge. We do not want a recreation of the attached so much as we need a new, more simplistic, depiction that conveys the same emotions.
