Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a church that has successfully completed a leadership transition and is looking to both the past and future as we better communicate who we are. Our target audience is affluent, highly educated. We have historically skewed older but are seeing an enormous influx of young families.

We are a large, vibrant, open, and welcoming inter-denominational church located in an affluent coastal town in South Florida. There are two defining images that have been present throughout the church's 35+ year history. First, a large cross in the worship space that is bisects a circular window. This cross/window configuration has been present within several past worship spaces. Second, sea oats have been used over the years as an icon to represent the coastal atmosphere in which the church is located. Though the design may choose whether or not to utilize the sea oats/coastal imagery, the image of sea oats IS used in multiple places around the property and has been a part of the most recent iterations of the logo. That said, I believe it may be time to begin retiring the sea oats and move to something a bit more spiritual/christ-centric. This church is increasingly leaning into Christ and the ancient roots of the church. The best phrase to describe the future goal of this church community is to be an ancient/future outpost that welcomes all into the life and love of Christ, utilizing ancient methods to do new and unique ministry. Key word concepts for 'religious' might include: traditional, ancient, classic, stained glass, Christ, historic, inclusive. We are a church that has one arm reaching into the (broader) church's rich past, and the other into the future. Any design which succeeds at being both ancient and modern will be highly considered. The church naming conventions are a bit odd: JupiterFIRST Church. The designer may choose/suggest the style and capitalization conventions, but making "JupiterFIRST" one word instead of two should be seen as a preferable option if at all possible.
P.S. If you DO choose to include sea oats in your design, please be aware that there is a distinct difference between the look of sea oats and wheat.
