schwaigerwoodworks got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a timeless logo for new industrial supply company
Check out schwaigerwoodworks's Logo design contest…
Monarch Industrial is a new entity to our business which will focus on B to B (business to business) sales. The audience will be mid sized companies looking for our help in providing special tooling, niche production parts and high end consumables used in manufacturing. Our logo needs to have an elegant, intellectual and professional feel to it. The barriers to doing business with these companies are moderately high so our logo should give a corporate buyer a confident feel demonstrating integrity and longevity. The ideal logo would be classy but not following a present day trend which may go out of style decades from now.
Other color requirements
Black, Grey, White, maybe purple or blue
I spent just a few minutes in the attached .pdf to communicate an overall direction. I'm an engineer not a designer... ;-) A few requests: 1.) I believe the logo needs the "crown" element as I just found a quick one to show concept. I didn't care for ones that had lots of colors or little round balls at the top that didn't seem quite as sophisticated or serious as preferred. 2.) I want to be careful with gradients or graphics which challenge printers or create troubles when making Xerox copies. 3.) I want to de-emphasize the "Industrial" text and make Monarch the major element as we will answer the phone "Monarch" not "Monarch Industrial" 4.) The "Monarch" name also has the potential to be used as a branded product in the future so I want the logo to set the stage for that use. 5.) Black & Grey on a white background are really appealing but we are open minded. I always subscribe to the famous quote by Steve Jobs: "People can't always tell you what the want next, but they know it when they see it" That is why I'm here.... Best regards, Barry
