The online service (through website and mobile phones) is about managing all aspects of trip management. Focus should be on two words;
Trip: Should give comprehensive feeling about it
Roar: Should give the feeling of spreading/talking about travel experience. Roar can be taken as an expression in network sense like you talk/roar about your experience on Facebook, Twitter.
Though not absolutely required, possibly two objects can be merged to give this composite feeling.
On colors, two colors (may be three) should be used. Also colors and feel should be cheerful.
To represent roar, it does not have to be necessarily an animal. It can also be abstract or character.
In last, a good UI is like a joke. If you have to explain it, its not good enough.
