Mountain Sun Community School

A non- profit holistic private school serving students ages 3- 14 years old (pre-school - middle school). We have multiple age classrooms rich in Montessori curriculum and other hands-on learning techniques and have strong emphasis on education of the whole child, on community building, and the natural world. We are located in a small artistic and outdoor-oriented community in the mountains of North Carolina.

Our current logo which is attached here we simply purchased the rights to, but not exclusively. We love the colors in the logo, but its too many colors. We would like to capture the essence of this logo so it looks familiar to those who have come to recognize it as our logo for the past 3 years. A strong natural element is important. Our families value our organic approach to education in that instruction is often individualized or small groups, older students often teach younger students, and we work to make the learning relevant to their lives. We also want it to convey a sense of wonder, discovery, exploration, peace, and joy as a journey that children are on through their enrollment in our school.

We are located in a small artistic and outdoor-oriented community in the mountains of North Carolina. Our families value organic foods, healthy lifestyles, cooperation, and community!

We do NOT want it looking DAYCARE like or too cutesy! Nor do we want any figures that look computer generated (like the round arms and circle).
