Green Hippo is a hand car washing business. Customers book a car wash over the phone or online. TARGET MARKET Our target market segments are: 1. The Monday to Friday professional. Top 10% wage earner. Likely knows an amount about car washing. Expects efficiency and high quality outcome. May appreciate green credentials. Will appreciate dealing with experts because whether he drives a late model car or not the important thing is he wants to take care of it. 2. Car park owners. Car parks are in partnership with the Green Hippo brand. Car parks are high turnover, low error tolerance businesses so while the logo can be fun it must remain professional. POSITIONING Very important brand personalities: 1. Knowledgeable. We know what we are doing 2. Fun. Car washing is a chore, yet we enjoy it 3. High Quality. We create sparkling, gleaming clean cars. We care about doing a good job. 4. Mobility. We come to you on your timeline 5. Professionalism. We are not oily mechanics, we are well presented 6. Sustainability. We aim to use green, local products
Logo types to explore
We currently only clear car exteriors so no images of open car doors, vacuum cleaners. Green Hippo currently has no branding at all. One particular theme to consider is to make the hippo oversize. A 10m tall hippo taking care of small little cars. To me this creates a mother-child image which could, if done well, capture (1), (2) and (3) of the positioning requirements as listed above at once. Avoid anything cartoony. It is too hard to manage cartoon + professional at once. (I do not describe the Locoray logo as cartoony. Spongebob Squarepants however definitely is cartoony.)
