Handcrafted jewellery in precious metal using traditional metalsmithing techniques. The focus of 'Three Poppys' is high-quality exhibition pieces, bespoke and custom-made jewellery, with less focus to production and mass-produced lines of jewellery. Enamelling, granulation and 'chasing and repousse' feature in the jewellery. The target audience is likely to be women aged 30+.

The name 'Three Poppys' is a reference to me, the jeweller, as my nickname is 'Poppy'. The inclusion of the word 'Three' is a reference to three of my character traits. Hence, 'Three Poppys' has no specific reference to the poppy flower and does not literally indicate three flowers. The aforementioned character traits are private (I'm not schizophrenic) and won't be disclosed and if they're to be incorporated into the design, then it should be subtle. If the poppy flower is to be incorporated into the design, then greater preference would be towards designs with the microscopic detail and repetitive elements of the poppy flower, eg petal venation and shape of the seed pod, as opposed to the image of an entire flower. Having said this, a design that is organic, natural, with feeling and flowing is preferred as I don't want a stark and clinical design. My background in biology influences how the poppy flower would be used in any design.
