My main target market is people in the architecture industry. I am aiming to be a well known architectural photographer.
The first thing is architects love straight lines. So exploring straight lines either vertically, horizontally, or leading to a perspective is something to consider.
A common saying in the architecture world is "form follows function". This saying is applied to the building process. So although a building looks beautiful, it must function even better than it looks. If there is some way to incorporate that into the logo that is a plus.
Please take a look at the architectural photos on this website. This guy is a world class architectural photographer. You can see the photos have a calming feeling to them, but at the same time are very impressive. They "sooth the soul" to look at them. Somehow incorporate this into the logo.
Lastly, in photography there is something known as the rule of thirds. If somehow that rule can be subtly applied to the logo that will be a plus.
