Of the above Design Examples I think the "Turrano" and "Econoluz" are the most suited to Larki - would be happy to get logos like these. Something about the 'Meikki' that I quite like too... (Please ignore 'Spot Ninja', 'carrier films' and 'Uplista'... wish I could remove them).
The business name Larki Info came from the bird and an acronym of the professions that the business addresses:
lark = the bird called a "lark", could have a lark in there somehow.
l = land
a = architecture
r = real estate
k = knowledge
i = internet or information
Please find below the draft logo I put together. Note: I used the bird the lark, the typeface has a bit of interest to it but still clean and crisp, also the 'i' is different to the 'lark' letters. That is not to say it should be like this. Up to you. Be creative!
I also really like the City of Melbourne logo. Below are some other logos that I quite like.
Below is also a selection of colours (refer 'Larki possible colours 150731.jpeg' that I like that I think work well together. Dont necessarily have to use these colours. Just an idea. I like the idea of multi-colour but the colours have to work well together.
Below is also more images of larks that I like. In terms of cultural meanings for lark: Lark is a bird common to Eastern Australia. They have more elaborate calls than most birds, and often extravagant songs (so the bird in the logo could have it's mouth open singing)… combined with a willingness to expand into anthropogenic habitats (nested in a suburban housing area). The lark in mythology and literature stands for daybreak, e.g. Shakespeare's Sonnet 29, "the lark at break of day arising, From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate". The lark is also associated with religious reference to signify "passage from Earth to Heaven and from Heaven to Earth".
The data that the website is selling could have something to do with the 'larki possible background 050731.jpeg' image below. This could be used as a background to the logo as an idea.
Another logo that I like - Room 11.
Also inspiration from contour maps, triangulated irregular networks and digital terrain models.
Would also be good to see an option (or few) with the standard information 'i' like the one i posted below. So that the LARKi logo has an 'i' for information stands out from the 'LARK' part. When people see that particular font 'i' below they tend to know it stands for information.
I have had a go at 2 more logos as further inspiration for your ideas - refer attachments below.
Thanks again!! Getting closer :)
Thank-you very much.
