Awesome Logo wanted for Nutty Nerds

Games & Recreational
Our company will be dedicated to improving the lives of "nerds" like ourselves, primarily in work environments that are dominated by "nerds" such as IT. There are of course many ways to define what a "nerd" is, but we are defining nerdism based on interests, not physical characteristics. Specifically to quote the Wikipedia definition of Nerd: "Hobbies, games, and activities that are described as obsessive and immature, such as trading cards, comic books, television programs, films, role-playing games and other things relating to fantasy and science fiction." Our initial offering will primarily focus on providing consumables such as coffee, sodas, snacks and meals via a user-friendly interface that will be heavily themed and gamified. We favor sci-fi and fantasy themes, but will strive to serve all cornors of the nerdish hobby spectrum.
Logo types to explore
I really would like to stress that we're looking more for the hobby / gaming aspect than the intellectual / technical aspect of "stereotypical nerddom". There have been a few submissions based on other people's heavily protected intellectual property, such as Star Wars and Star Trek. I realize that this is a risk with science fiction, which is typically more unique than other genres of fiction. I must stress that we feel that we can't incorporate other people's IP into our core identity, although we can carefully consider decorating our logo with other people's IP in certain appropriate cases (such as when attending a Star Trek event). Thus even if the design is great, we couldn't accept it if this were the case.
