We are a new restaurant and bar opening up, focusing on fresh affordable food, innovative cocktails using unique ingredients, and a wide selection of craft beer from across the world. We are mainly going to be a Vietnamese style noodle house ( serving classic dishes such as PHO), but will also have many dishes with japanese, and thai influence. My business partner and I have also have a huge passion for amazing food and cocktails. We have been bartending and managing restaurants for over 10 years. We travel to asia quite a bit to rock climb, and love the different flavors the food entails there. However, in most Thai/Vietnamese/noodle houses etc... One goes there for the food not the atmosphere. There are very few places to get GOOD noodles, have music, and a fun bar atmosphere you want to hang out at with friends, whether you are eating or not. We want to create a place where people can do both! We want people to come not only for the food, but for the atmosphere...shots with your friends, sake and more sake, lots of cheer-sing!
We are focusing our target clientele from mid 20's to mid 50's. We are looking to attract a slightly older crowd that don't mind paying for quality cocktails and beer, but still are coming in for the awesome food (Which will be relatively cheap).
-A little bit about us and how we came up with the name reckless:
Both of us have traveled extensively all over the world, sometimes just to travel, learn, and explore; but most of the time it is for sports. Surfing, rock climbing, heli boarding, diving, sailing, spear fishing, downhill mountain biking... you get the point, we love it all!. Pretty much fun loving, adrenalin junkies at heart!
We hate going into places with terrible music, I don't expect everybody to like what I like, but I feel like there should be some common ground. Anyways, we love old school punk rock, good rock and a little of everything else in-between, as long as its upbeat and people enjoy it, and makes you want to get a little rowdy!
- A little bit about what the bar/restaurant will look like:
The entire front of the house will be refurbished barn wood and brick on the walls. Cement floors, industrial ceiling. One of the walls will have mason jars mounted on sconces, filled with water, and illuminated with an l.e.d. light underneath, another wall will have pirana skulls mounted from floor to ceilings on wires... Another will be the green wall, succulent and herb planters will be mounted floor to ceiling, all to be used at the restaurant! All this will be mixed in with local art that fits appropriately with our style, and to advertise for local artists. If somebody wants to buy the art, great! We will will find another piece to put up and advertise!
