phdlogo was such a delight and a pleasure to work with! Nothing was too much trouble or too difficult. She definitely went the extra mile and went out of her way to make sure I was happy with all the work she created. She really did earn every penny of the prize money and I can only hope I have another opportunity to work with her again. I would recommend her to anyone for her creative talent and first class work ethic, without hesitation and I rate 99designs 5 stars after the quality experience I benefited from! Thank you phdlogo and 99designs!!!

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are the First Christian Church, in Great Bend, KS, and are going through what is called Appreciative Inquiry process. This process is basically a strategic planning process, in which we establish the church's goals, our mission, etc, and do so by going through a process and getting all the members input on what their vision and dreams are for the church. We are wanting to design a logo to use to help promote and market the process to help get all the involvement we can get possible of the membership. From here we will use the logo in other designs, such as for flyers, facebook, a powerpoint slide design, signage, etc. We want to make sure and include the image of the Chalice in the design as well. The Chalice is a universal symbol for the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

The name of our church is the First Christian Church, but we came up with the slogan, AI : Pray, Dream, Build. AI stands for Appreciative Inquiry, and the 3 words stand for how we want to go through the process, and in that order. You don't have to necessarily use a colon after AI but need some sort of separation. You can go to our current website for some insight and see how we currently use the chalice as part of it at, http://www.fccgbk.com/ . I would say we want the focus to not be on the words First Christian Church, or FCC, but more on the slogan.
