Organisational Mission: To deliver affordable energy to WA industrial customers. WAGP is a buyer and seller of gas. Target Audience: Japanese gas owners (in WA) from whom we buy gas and Industrial Buyers of natural gas (e.g. Alinta, Synergy Energy, WesFarmers, Alcoa) to whom we sell gas. This audience is conservative and corporate. They evaluate commercial partners by their reliability, mature governance and integrity. Our Purpose: To create a level playing field that respects the difference, equality and interdependence that exists between all people. We believe each of us are vastly different, of equal value and that we cannot succeed alone. Our Values/Behaviours (How we operate): 6 behaviours guide us: - Generosity: First, serve others. - Integrity: Do what is right and lawful. - Efficiency: Use time and money wisely. Other color requirements
You do not have to use Blue AND Red together. You can use the company name WA GAS & POWER or Western Australian Gas & Power. You don't have to feel wedded to using the letters W and A in the logo. It is more important to reflect the purpose and values of the company.
The logo should be informed by sensibility of Japanese utility logos such as Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric, Kyushu Electric, JERA and Toho Gas (examples provided in attachments). The design that will strike at out to me, is the one that conveys a sense of conservatism, economy and progressiveness, but also that it has come from a long industrial heritage. My team will collectively decide on the logo that best represents an energy company that: - Connects Japanese gas sellers with Australian Industrial gas buyers. - Is still in business 30 years from now (is enduring). - Believes that people are vastly different, of equal value and cannot succeed alone. - Operates with Generosity, Integrity, Truth, Courage & Commitment - Is young, energetic and risk-taking. But at the same time experienced, deliberate and objective.

Art Is Mine was a fantastic designer and more importantly has an amazing service attitude and work ethic. Our competition attracted more than 40 designers with over 500 design submissions to design an enduring logo for an Australian energy company. Art Is Mine’s concept was the most original. He was able to understand the brief and present designs that captured the purpose and identity of my company. During the hand-over process, he was very professionally. I was not an easy client to work with at all. I was demanding and requested many many small changes to the logo until it was perfect. All through the process, Art Is Mine sought to carefully understand my change requests and executed the changes perfectly, and applied his design judgement to balance the logo overall and also add his judgement to make the logo even better.
My team and I are so pleased with the final result and my choice to select Art is Mine was correct.
