mia.cheng got their new infographic by running a design contest:
Design an isometric infographic for Valence Surface Technologies!
Check out mia.cheng's Infographic contest…
Story to tell in the infographic
Valence Surface Technologies provides a "one stop" solution for outside processing / surface finishing in aerospace manufacturing. In a typical aerospace supply chain model, a part leaves a machine shop, and then travels between many different product finishing factories for different processes (+ returning to the machine shop). In the Valence model, all of these processes are done under one roof, saving time, money and risk. This infographic should be a visual representation of the comparison between the two choices.
Data to include in the infographic
The graphic should be a comparison of the supply chain lifecycle of a part, one that illustrates the inefficient and multi-step supply chain using multiple competitors, and one that uses the “one stop” solution of Valence. The attached PDF shows an example mockup of what we are looking for. We are not looking to replicate exactly the same, this image is meant to just show the concept. The same or similar stock images should be used. The same text should be used as in the document. Infographic Sample Mockup: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B358ai6q8qIsVXlrU0REMVFKc1k/view?usp=sharing The final text is found on an attached PDF but the below gives an idea of the two paths. DO NOT USE THE BELOW TEXT, for reference only: Valence: Step One: Part leaves machine shop to Valence Step Two: Part leave Valence back to machine shop Part Three: Part leaves machine shop to end to end user Traditional Competitor: Part One: Part leaves machine shop goes to NDT facility Part Two: Part leaves NDT facility and goes to shot peen facility Part Three: Part leaves shot peen facility and goes back to machine shop Part Four: Part leaves machine shop to chemical process shop Part Five: Part leaves chemical process shop back to machine shop Part Six: Part leaves machine shop and goes to end customer
Elements to include in the infographic
The look should be 3D / axometric etc., clean, and simple. The competitor factories should look generic, industrial, and not modern. See images. The Valence factory should look modern and large. Buildings should be labeled according to diagram. We are looking for something that appears clean, and sophisticated that follows our basic / simple color palette. We would prefer this to be on a white background.
