Icon for motorcycle note taking application

MOTO-MEMO is a note taking application for motorcycle riders. The app allows users to document their ride experience.

I want an app icon/logo designed.

The app is to document notes about motorcycle riding, such as maintenance records, fueling records, lodging details, and overall ride experiences. Traditionally this information is kept with an old-fashioned notebook and pencil, if it is even kept at all. I want the app to make the input of this information so easy and pleasant that inputting this information is something that the user looks forward to.

My idea is to just have the essential components of the app in the icon: a motorcycle and a pencil. I want to convey that the app will make input easy and intuitive.

I'd like to stay away from words and letters in the icon because I think there isn't enough room and symbols are universal, but it doesn't have to be. I am also open to any color/theme as long as it is simple.

I intend the app to be used by traditional motorcycle riders, which I think ride cruiser type motorcycles. So if a motorcycle silhouette is used then it should be a cruiser/sportster type and not a racing or extreme dirtbike type.

Most of the motorcycle apps in the app store are for racing games. I'd like this icon to stand out from all of these and tell the user that it is a utility and not a game.

This is the first part of the overall design. Once I have the icon, then I will then start a new contest to design the app screens.
