thislady got their new character or mascot by running a design contest:
Greedy Corporate Marijuana Character
Check out thislady's Character or mascot contest…
ResponsibleOhio is a proposed voter-initiated Ohio Constitutional Amendment that is expected to make the 2015 November ballot to legalize medical and recreational marijuana in Ohio. We are 100% Pro-legalization, but 100% against this ballot initiative. Here are a few reasons we oppose ResponsibleOhio: 1) It creates a monopoly where 10 rich investors control the industry 2) High taxes will lead to a strong black market 3) Home grow is restricted and transfer to friends if paid for is still a felony 4) Only strains that ResponsibleOhio decides to sell will be available We're not alone - even High Times is writing articles about how bad ResponsibleOhio would be for Ohio: http://www.hightimes.com/read/responsibleohio-responds-criticism-high-times-follows-rebuttal
What's your vision?
Looking for character design to personify ResponsibleOhio as a greedy character. Something like a disgusting monopoly man type character that is collecting high profits and limiting supply at the expense of other business owners and medical/recreational user. Design should be limited to <3 colors to allow for printing on apparel, signs, etc. This is meant to be political satire and needs to be over the top. Character should be exaggerated.
Design will likely be printed on a dark green background. Limit use of the color green so the design will work on a green background. Attached images are the ResponsibleOhio logo and an example of how a newspaper personified ResponsibleOhio.
