Poker's Postflop Course
Part 1: The River
Advanced Analysis of Exploitive Postflop Play in No-Limit Hold'em
This is the first book in a series that will probably consist of three books. It's not necessary that a cover be able to facilitate another two books, but I think that might be an interesting idea.
It's a large book at 8.5 x 11 and will only be available as a hardback. A design for the spine and back is needed as well.
The river is the final community card dealt in a poker hand. The book is about how to make/analyze decisions on that particular street. I'm not opposed to something that involves water, but I'm not sure how I'd incorporate that with the other two streets that will be part of this series; the other two streets are called the flop and the turn.
This book is unique among poker books in both its content and the questions/quizzes available for the reader. That's why I've decided to call it a course. Initially I wanted something to resemble a college textbook look (you will see that in my original design I made attached as a file). But I'm not overly excited about what I made.
However, the most important thing I'm after is that it's drenched with a classy look. There's no poker book like this one in the market, and I want it to look like it's cut from some other - more expensive - cloth. I was on istock for a while searching, and this type of look for the background really caught my eye. http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-il…st=f0563a5
I'd rather stay away from stock photos/designs as a stock photo on one of my previous books ended up on someone else's book cover.
Even though I've attached the file I made, and a possible type of background, I'm open to any creative ideas.*Please see the notes to all designers as I've added some ideas there.
