justinub got their new book cover by running a design contest:
We need a modern/ancient (!) ebook cover for our shamanic guide to modern life

Laughing in the Face of Chaos
Initiated in the Shamanic traditions of Amazon Rainforest since the age of 15, Rudá Iandê works as a shaman to help people overcome self-limiting beliefs and harness creativity, personal power and mindfulness. His work provides a bridge connecting ancient knowledge to the context of our modern lives, providing a powerful way to unleash our innermost skills in order to accomplish success and fulfillment. Rudá has worked with artists, executives and change-makers around the world. He was recently featured in Marina Abramovic’s documentary film The Space In Between, and his Primal Source program outlines his unique perspectives and talent (http://rudaiande.com/).
Laughing in the Face of Chaos is a journey through the modern myths which have shaped our modern ways of living. The book is based on Rudá Iandê's decades of experience as a shaman, helping people from all walks of life to understand the way that collective myths have shaped their experience of life. The book is a modern-day guide to facing up to these beliefs and letting them go so that the reader can explore and embrace their true nature.
The book is targeted at people who are interested in personal development. All ages, both genders, worldwide locations.
We have an image attached which we would like used on the front cover. The image attached is a compressed version, I will send the high resolution image to use shortly. We also want a strong and dynamic background, using colors, textures and abstract patterns. The image shouldn't take all of the attention on the front cover. The image should be very well integrated with the background. The book is based on this online workshop: https://ideapod.com/out-of-the-box-journey-overview/

And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
