I need a print cover designed for Book 6 in a series. It is a YA Urban
fantasy series that plays homage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Mixes
drama, action and comedy.
This book features 2 heroines. One lives in our world, and her other
half lives in a world based on comic books and day dreams. They are
different sides of the same coin.
The 'slayer' lives in the comic book world and is a tongue in cheek
reference to comic book heroines. She fights villains, silent mimes,
and Chicago style gangsters on a regular basis.
The hero in the real world is a paladin. A quiet, reflective brunette
leader who is succumbing to the pressure of living in a town being
torn apart by time lines, parallel words converging in her town.
Enemies become hero, those long lost in the fight against evil never
died, and no one can tell fact from fiction.
SUB: Book 6
AUTHOR: Jill Cooper
Trim Size: 5.25 X 8 (CreateSpace)
Story takes place in Vermont (Rutland, VT) So some sort of woodsy
background, small town feel, or bubbling brook, with some police do
not cross tape would work.
A young woman on the cover . The heroine feels like everything is
coming undone and she feels trapped in her role as leader rather than
warrior. So a design element that represents that would be great.
Bound arms. A gag. Something tugging upon her, or her clothes.
Or something you come up completely on your own.
It's all come to this. This moment in time. Everything Natalie Johnson
has fought for.
Newly promoted paladin commander Natalie Johnson is about to bring the
demonire tracking system online. If she's successful Meadow's Creek
may finally be safe from bloodsuckers. If not, the egg on her face
will be enough to make a gourmet omelet.
But when old friends and foes begin showing up in town under
questionable circumstance, it's clear something new is on the horizon.
The murder of a prominent official threatens to cripple the brittle
peace Natalie has brought to town.
Alternate realities and timeline jumps all converge revealing truths,
deceptions and worst of all, roads not taken. Natalie must face her
worst fears, her biggest regrets, and most of all a deep longing that
nothing will ever be the same again.
Meanwhile a long sought after ally brings them all to the brink of
madness. And his betrayal? Could be the biggest heartbreak of them
